In my book, Jacinto Hausinger is the BEST real estate representative in the Vancouver/Portland Metro area. I met him in 2005 when he randomly approached me as I was trying to sell my condo on my own. He was very easy-going and positioned himself as an expert rather than a salesman, so I thought I would give him a try. Within three months, the hassle-free sales transaction of my house was completed, which allowed me to purchase a four-bedroom house in Camas that summer. So when I decided to sell my home three years later, the only person I wanted as a real estate agent was Jacinto. As many know, selling a house in the summer of 2008 was probably one of the most difficult seasons with the rapid depreciation of housing prices and a surplus of homes on the market. I don't know how, but he was able to find a buyer within a week after I put my house on the market. Unfortunately, two months later, on the day the buyers were approved, they backed out. It was now October 2008 and I had already moved across the country. Miraculously, it all turned out in my favor because he was able to find another buyer within two weeks. Plus, he had somehow negotiated on my behalf with the mortgage company who wanted to process the short sell paperwork immediately and settle for a zero balance. This meant I would owe nothing on the account! Not only did he make this happen, but my credit remained intact!! And, instead of owing taxes on the difference of more than $30K, I'm actually getting a huge return this year!!! Again, I walked away stress-free from an otherwise nail-biting experience. Through it all, Jacinto assured me every step of the way. He was very personable, enthusiastic and demonstrated his vast knowledge of the market like no one else could. He always maintained a positive outlook and at times, was shocked and amazed himself. Like when he learned that no one in the real estate industry had ever heard of a mortgage company so eager to close on the deal or willing to accept everything that he asked on my behalf! Also, while I was living across the country, he called one day to tell me that he had fixed my carpet because it had bunched up in some places. He wanted to be sure that my house was ready to sell at all times. After this experience, he more than proved his dedication and ability to do the impossible. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I highly recommend Jacinto Hausinger as a knock-your-socks-off real estate agent!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!! YOU ARE TRULY THE BEST!!! -Enid Lamey

Curb Appeal >First Impressions
Good curb appeal is a major plus when it comes to marketing a home. A little bit of work on the front of your home can pay big dividends.
When a potential buyer pulls up in front of your house, their first impression is absolutely crucial. Sometimes buyers won't even look at a home with droopy shutters, sagging gutters, peeling paint and a bumper crop of dandelions in the front yard. Or they might go in expecting to find a "fixer-upper" that could be purchased at a bargain price. If a house looks neat and cared for from the street, the initial good impression will carry over as the buyers step inside. It is not necessary to hire a professional landscaper, but listen to your real estate agent's suggestions when you list your home. Local nurseries can help you select blooming plants that will thrive in your area. Keep the lawn mowed, and regardless of the season, take care of exterior maintenance. Strong curb appeal will help your home sell more quickly and for top dollar.
